French beans 2016

Dwarf beans are easy to pick and you don’t miss as many as you do with climbers.  This year I will be growing an old favourite, DELINEL.  A very tasty French bean with self pollinating flowers, so if insects are scarce, no probs.  Planting these in pots around mid April and planting out into the beds mid May once frosts are passed.

It was a funny start to the season.  But once they took hold, there was no stopping them producing.  I will probably try these another year but as for the taste, they seem to be similar to Cobra but don’t get rocked by winds being dwarf beans.

I must have pulled a minimum of 150 lbs of beans Delinel Dwarf beans are the way to go.
